While we can’t predict what effect COVID-19 will have on the ability to use volunteers during our spring 2022 planting, we welcome you to sign up to become a Rooted in Laramie volunteer. If you don’t want to plant trees but still want to help out, we also have volunteer board member positions open along with marketing, fundraising and more.

Our trees are deeply discounted, so only a limited number will be sold.
Trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and are in limited quantities. We highly recommend submitting your application as soon as possible so that we can conduct a planting site evaluation, at which point you will be able to pay for your trees and reserve your species.
Once you have been approved, we will send you our secure online payment form where you can select up to two (2) trees and reserve your species for our upcoming planting day.
WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH MY TREE PURCHASE?
For just $50, you’ll receive guidance from a trained arborist, who will help you find the perfect location for your new tree; the tree itself, including staking, mulching and a slow-release water bag. We recommend you fill the water bag at least once per week in the hot summer months and at least once per month in the winter. Water bags should be removed in the winter when not in use to prevent damage.
Currently we are able to plant trees in front yards within Laramie and up to 1/2 mile outside of city limits. You may purchase up to two (2) trees per year. Species selection changes from year-to-year and are available on a first-come, first-served basis following payment.
A Note About Trees
Trees are living things, and as such have a mortality rate of 25% here in Laramie. We do all we can to give each tree the best start possible and help remind program participants to water, but Rooted in Laramie cannot guarantee any tree’s survival nor can we replace any trees that die for free. If your tree does die, please re-apply; we’d love to work with you to try again!
